A Power-Up Booster Session for Labor Organizations

What do YOU need to do to get strike ready? This single-session workshop will serve as an introduction for Power-Up graduates and a refresher for other O4P graduates on the subject of “Structure Tests” – the escalatory campaign actions that leverage targets and demonstrate people power in large numbers.

This session will pick up where Power-Up I left off, with a brief review of the course and a focus on the final assignment, the Plan to Win worksheet. Following a lesson on Structure Tests that also includes an introduction to Charting, we will do some live workshopping with Power-Up I graduates, helping them – and all of you – to put those Plans to Win into motion.

The examples used during the lesson will focus on trade unions, but this session will be useful to any Power-Up I graduate who wants to take the next step in your organizing, as well as to all O4P alumni seeking to refresh your understanding of Structure Tests and join our brand new Power-Up programming stream ahead of Power-Up II.

The session will last a maximum of two hours and will take place entirely in plenary, including time for you to ask questions of our trainers.

While individual sign-ups are possible, we strongly recommend that you attend with an organizing group: our struggles for justice are shared, and we are only going to win if we are in it together.
